CST help in the monopole antenna simulation

whe the groud plane of the monopole antenna is too thin , CST tells me that "the waveguide port 1 is too short........",Can I get a infinit large and infinite thin ground plane in the monopole antenna simulation ?

For the infinite problem ,I think you best use the IE3D! It tackles this problem very good!!!

Make the ground plane thicker locally just around the waveguide.

For infinite ground plane you should set the boundary condition Zmin = PEC!
For "the waveguide port 1 is too short........" you should make port at least 3 meshlines long.

It's very simple.
First sorry, I was a bit unclear with "lenght of port".

Turn on mesh view and look at your coaxial connector with the port.
Coaxial (or any other transmission line with port) must be homogenous for at least 3 meshlines - see attached picture - port is at the bottom.
It's needed for creating properly guided wave.
The solution for your error is to make the feeding line longer.

why do you need infinit gnd plane
for the port. CST deal in the port only with
parallel lines perpendicular to the port so check
the lines near your port.
dont use thin layers and edges near the port

Try to increase the mesh cells and accuracy of your solver. This should fix the problem.
