Question about the frequency domain solver. When I open up the Frequency domain solver parameters windows, where I can specify 'excitation settings' and such, there is a section called excitation where you can specify the excitation port and mode. I had been using floquet modes for a while, and the mode was labeled TM and TE or I can run all of them. However, if I use waveguide ports the mode is labeled as 1,2,3,4 ect...for as many modes as the waveguide port is specified to absorb or radiate. So my questions, if I select mode 1, is that like exciting with TE or TM polarized wave. And mode 2 TE or TM, or I'm I completely off on this? Secondly, if I select "all"(it will give me the results for all modes), does this change the S-parameters? Also, so in the 1D results I would just look for S2(1)1(1) and that would correspond to the mode 1 exication?
Thank you
