Hello guys,

How can I get .cshrc loaded automatically when open a terminal?

I already changed the shell to tcsh in /etc/passwd file and still doesn't work.

Note: I'm using RH 5.7.

Thanks,
Hazem

I think it will be automatically loaded with start up.

Check your .cshrc file, whether it has options to exit.

Actually I'm asking as it's not loaded automatically while start up. Which option are you talking about in cshrc file?

I had already reviewed this thread before even creating this thread and didn't find it helpful.

I am not sure of this, not encountered this problem.

Go through your .cshrc and check if any line terminates the program-> This is one case of automatic .cshrc load failure.

will let you know more soon, if I find anything good.
