[SOLVED] Creating a Netlist ERROR(SPMHNI-191):

Hello,

Can anyone help me with this error? I have replace the part, changed the footprint, and most of the basic things I could think to do to fix this error. I am a new PCB Designer and need a little help, I am struggling to understand what I am doing wrong. I would appreciate any help I can get to fix this netlisting errors.

Hi Lee,

Increase your drawing extents,they are smaller than the .dra file extents.Also you need to place all your .dra files,.psm files and .pad files along with the .brd file you are working with in a same directory path.
This will help you resolving your problem.Read the error report properly, you will definitely get a solution from that.

Hello Shabu,

I checked the symbol extents and drawing extents; they are the same size. If you could explain in a greater detail, so I can make sure I am understanding if I am correcting the right thing. I went to the part, then right click and went to edit part. They were exactly the same size, which leaves me puzzled by this error message. It says, to psmpath or "dbdoctor"ed which when I did dbdoctor I didn't have any errors. I tried correcting the PSMPATH (had no effect). Another problem I found was: not allowing me to update my design.

Hi lee,

You need to have your drawing extents much bigger than the symbol extents.Go to setup-design parameters-design-extents
Provide larger x,y values and height and width.
Keep all your files in a separate directory path and try, definitely it will help you.Delete your old .psm file and open your .dra file and save it newly for the symbol you find errors.Try this and if you find errors again,post it.I would try to suggest you something to get a solution.
