Looking for help designing a discrete shift register circuit to implement CRC8 CDMA 2000 using the polynomial 0x9B

Yes, I need to make the circuit from individual elements (FF & logic gates, not software or VHDL). Trying to figure out where to place the XOR gates within the string of FF that creates the register, what to preset the FF's to, how many shifts to perform etc...
