Folks,

Is there a way to convert a PCAD footprint into and OrCAD footprint (LLB)? I have a Bluetooth module and the manufacturer (BlueRadios) provides a PCAD footprint. I’m an OrCAD user, so I want to convert.

I would appreciate if someone could convert it for me.

Thanks,
Nick

P.S. I don’t forget to click the “helped me” button for those who helped.

place a footprint in your cad that it opens in
then export a '.dxf' file {look in help how to do this

now import it to your other cad and save it as a footprint again

most cads for eda support this dxf format

its basicaly a bitmap

I understand your approach, but there are 2 problems.

1. Small problem. I don't have PCAD.
2. Bigger problem. As you've said, dxf is basically a bitmap. But unfortunately, the bitmap doesn't carry the information that distinguishes the pads.
