Is there a translator or a tool that does that in ads? I was looking at this page from the ads documentation, but I don't understand how the translation is done, and what "translator" they're talking about:

http://eesof.tm.agilent.com/docs/adsdoc2002/netlist/net0823.html

I'm supposed to use one of the model files found here:

Thanks a lot for your help.

Converting Hspice model files to @DS

What it meant in
h**p://eesof.tm.@gilent.com/docs/adsdoc2002/netlist/net0823.html
is to apply in all relevent values for respective parameters accordingly. There's no formal translation involved. It's just how ADS translate those infor to be understood by the tool.

Read more infor here:
http://eesof.tm.agilent.com/docs/adsdoc2002/netlist/net082.html#1104171

What I did was applied those infor from mosis model into the ADS & it works.

Thanks crystal, and how did you apply those MOSIS parameters? did you go to Devices-MOS > Bsim3 in ADS, and then manually entered the parameters?

Converting Hspice model files to @DS

Yes, I entered it manually but check out this post:

I've tried it but it doesn't work. Maybe you can enlighten me?

Hi khouly thanks for your help, can you please tell me how to get to this netlist converter? I was searching under Tools in ads but couldn't find it.

in file menu
import , select netlist the options , select HSPICE and check @DS netlist ,
browse the file u want
then it will generate the @DS netlist

Thank you so much khouly, it works! Your help is appreciated.
Thanks a lot crystal.

For those interested to know how, just read khouly's previous comment. Don't forget to make the model name in the instance the same as in the tech file.
