Controlling Hardware over internet (via html). help needed

Hey guys,
I am working on a project for controlling a transmitter over internet. I’m using an IC containing MAC and PHY layer components and it has an SPI interface for a microcontroller. Can you help me find useful sources for programming the microcontroller for the controlling the hardware? It’s a DVB-T Transmitter Implemented on a Xilinx FPGA Virtex-4.
