Control of flow rate through a tube from a remote station.

Is it possible to control the flow of a liquid through a narrow tube (by using a servo motor or so to vary the opening of the tube) from a remote station?
If yes what could be a probable schematic for the system?

You can use a GSM communication between the two stations. Develop the remote station as a standalone controller which can adjust its voltage output according to the input.
Take that output and control the flow using any electric or pneumatic valve
