connect optical transceiver together

hi

it s possible to connect SFP Transceiver (λ=820 nm) with an other SFP Transceiver (λ=1310 nm).

Hello voho,

I think, it will not function, because the transceivers normally have optical filters for the transmitted wavelength and the bandwidth of the infrared radiation is very small.

Look to the datasheet of IR diodes.

For example like here on page 3.
