configuring a kannel after installing it on the linux

Can anybody help me, i have installed the kannel on the fedora 9 linux but i `m not able to configure it so that it can communicate with the gsm modem. i `m also having the problem of opening mysql in a kannel for building the database. I have to submit this assignment tomorrow.
