Dear all,

I've been trying to build a conducor-backed slotline structure using HFSS and CST. As long as I set electric wall(Et=0) on HFSS or CST to form a Grounding, there will be always a warning "the steady state energy criterion hasn't been reached". And, of course, large ripple occurred on S-para. results. Anyone could help, thank you very much, guys!

Hi,

there is an issue about conductor backed slotline-it always support surface wave mode that could influence propagation of the dominant and wanted guiding mode. Don't know if this is the reason for the messages you are getting, but it might be the couse for the ripples.
