ups modification

pls how can i convert computer 650va 12v 7.2AH to 12v 60AH without destroying the ups

how convert computer ups

If I understand you correctly you wish to change a 12volt 7.2 AH battery with a 12volt 60 AH battery that is part of a 650VA UPS.

If that is the case then there should be no damage to the UPS, It will just be able to supply the load for around 8X more time.

However things to keep in mind:

Recharging time will take much longer (8X) from a complete discharged battery condition.

The load capacity will not increase, still 650VA, just for a longer duration.

New battery will of course not fit in the same space as the smaller one ;-)

Good luck

ups modification

And other Important thing to remember is that, will UPS in backup mode stand for long time? as it is design for few minutes, whereas it is being used for hours (I mean in backup mode). Its heatsink, heat produce by other components etc

Regards

have people tried the modification b4 if so let me know
