Hi,
what is mean by compiler and cross compiler . is there any difference, can anyone tell me and give the examples.

Thanks & Regards
dayal

A cross compiler is a compiler that generates code for a different architecture than the machine you are running the compiler on.

For example a compiler that creates code for a micro-controller such as an AVR that runs on a PC running windows or linux is a cross-compiler.
