Hi
I am trying to communicate through the UART using Auto Baud capability of the ARM Processor. I am just loading values into the THR register but all I get is some garbage. Do any of you have a code fragment that I could use to communicate through the UART? Are there some steps to be followed in order for it to transmit correctly?

I am using LPC 1769 for my microcontroller project. The microcontroller is ARM Cortex M-3.

could that be an issue with translation? I had a similar problem when I was reading data from a 8051 silab micro. Without a ttl to rs232 converter (max232) my data was unreadable. Not sure if this is the same problem you are having.
