hi all,
i am going to work on smart cards.
i have got the TDK semiconductors 73s1121F smart card controller.
i am looking for a smart card and connector.
this is a 8052 core.
i am using this smart card for identification of device. some thing like i want to store the device id i that.
i am not able to communicate with the controller thru serialport.(just for testing)

can any one send simple code to communicate with the Smart card?

Re: SmartCard

Please specify your card type and transmission protocol, then I can send sample code.

Re: SmartCard

ISO-7816 UART 9600 to 115Kbps (with 12MHz crystal) for protocols T=0, T=1

Re: SmartCard

hi all
I am also working with the smart card reader.I can interface the TDA8004 with Philips microcontroller(89c61x2)?.Is this possible or not?. Please send more details about that. Thanks in advance.

Re: SmartCard

Hey,

Am using TDA8029 smart card reader controller, and the cards am using are SCOSTA cards.
Am not able to read and write into the card.
The card follows T=0 protocol.

the problem am facing is,
1.Am able to read and write by creating MF(Master file),DF(Dedicated file) and corresponding EF(Elementry file) every time.
2. i have to create the file structure every time to perform read and write.
3. Am not able to read specific address whenever i want.

please can anyone help me in solving this.
please am in urgent.

Thanks,
ranjinihk
