Coherent and Non Coherent Receiverin Frequency Hopping

can any body tell me why Coherent receivers are not used in Frequency Hopping?
 

coherent receivers are phase sensitive and are complex. simple receivers that work on frequency hop need not be such complex and phase detection etc.


how ever coherent receivers in fact transceivers , can use the freq hop for ex in defense velocity tracking etc.
