Hi,

I'm designing COFDM power amplifier with output power 1W and with MER 35 dB, which PA transistor should I use?

Is it usable LDMOS MW6S004NT1 or should I use MW6S010N or anything else?

Thank you

If u want OFDM u need at least backoff around 10dB, so with this 4w=36dBm
i dont think u can use this
please supply more data which freq bw, etc

Frequency is from 480 MHz to 860 MHz with BW 8MHz. It is amplifier for DVB-T signal.

I am used for the same application for the BW and get 42dB MER with BLF871

But BLF871 is 100 W transistor and it has 24 W with DVB-T modulation so I think that is overdesigned , 1 W is enough for me.

And what was power consumption ?

Yes u right I need more than 1w
u can put AP603 in balanced configuration so u will be able to get 36dB MER at 30dBm
