Hi,

Could someone please suggest designs for CMOS class AB output stages that can swing from rail to rail.

I have designed the Gm stage using a folded cascode topology and I want to connect it to a output buffer that can swing +/- 2.1 V (+/- 2.5 V supply) and can drive a resistive load of 50 ohms (30-40mA sink/source current)

The way I was thinking of doing it is give in the picture i have attached.

Could someone please help me out with the output stage architecture?

Thanks a lot!

Class AB by definitition is used for high so you have the correct idea. However your question is open-ended. google this etc. and if you have any issues, come back with detailed question on a specific issue.
