class b power amplifier

it is an amplifier that amplify the signal in two portions. one portion of the circuit is active for half cycle and other for the next half.
 

It is an amplifier whose amplifying device(transistor) conducts half the time of the input signal cycle (considering a sinusoidal component of the input wave).It is usually designed by two complementary transistors (either npn and pnp or 2 npn also may be implemented by MOS) making pushpull action which hdrzaman take about.
