A friend of mine ask me if I could find a circuit that can measure the frequency of a square wave and display it on one or more seven segments displays , i couldn't find any circuit on the NET so I'm asking in this great forum , can you help ?

Have you heard of google? (o;

Returns lots of information when you search for "freqency counter schematic" like:

**broken link removed**

I assume you want to do it on a discrete basis?
Or you intend to use microcontroller/CPLD/FPGA?
Frequency range?

And do not forget to also search in here!!!!
