Circuit to enable video recording from Sky digital

sky + enable recording

It realy P*&$$s me off that Sky sends a pulse in the video signal that prevents recording the film and sport.

I know there is units that will remove them but does anyone know what they do to the signal and any circuit to make one.
 

For video tape they insert a high level line(s) somewhere in the blanking period to confuse the sync seperator circuit.

I could imagine the same is happening in the programs you would like to record.

The solution is to replace the lines in in the blanking period with a self-made blacklevel....

I remember Elektor had a circuit that did just that. Maybe you can locate it anywhere in the archives.
