Choosing between xC9500 cplds and cool runner cpld of xilinx

hi,
for my application i need to implement

• a I2c master
• SRAM with for dual port buffering
• high speed data transfer to FPGA

what is the better cpld for this xc95xx or coolrunner series

what are the advantages

Go with the Coolrunner. Not only does it have more resources but Xilinx is not planning to EOL it any time soon.

Hi,

These days people are not moving to CPLD, wherever it is possible avoid CPLD and go for FPGA. For your application you can go for low end FPGA.

muralicrl where are you getting your information that people are not moving to or using CPLDs?

I would like to see that data.
