chipscope pro 11.1 with Spartan 3AN ICON error

Hi all,

I am trying to debug my VHDL design using chipscope pro.
I am inserting the chipscope core after synthesis, but it shows a line " No ICON parameters listed for selected device family"
What does this mean????
Also I am referring " http://users.etech.fh-hamburg.de/users/ITLabor/DI_Lab_R801/Webseite/Anleitung_ChipScope_0011v2_mit_Anhang_en.pdf"
for use of chipscope pro but I am not getting any output on wave form, it says "Device 0 unit 0 Waiting for the device to be armed"
And no response comes
Please, can anyone help
