HI guys,

I am trying to implement a HPF Chebyshev. This may be a stupid question, but I dont know how to calculate f0 at -3 dB.

apass=1dB
astop=30dB
fpass=15kHz
fstop=8kHz
ripple=1dB

I don;t have Matlab in order to compute it there.

Are you really sure that the -3dB point is important for you?
Normally, the passband edge for Chebyshev filters is identical to the ripple within the passband (in your case: 1 dB).
However, any filter design program can plot this filter response - and you can identify the -3dB frequency.

Your specification can be fulfilled by a 4th order Chebyshev high pass. The -3dB frequency will be approx. at 14.25 kHz.
