cheap 8051 microcontroller

8051 is the cheapest I know but all depends on the codesize and the peripherals u require.

sub $0.50 microcontroller market

If need cheapest MCT,select made in taiwan.
like EMC,WINBOND.

cheepest 8051

I think NXP LPC2000 is the best choice :D

microcontroller price

I am a mcu engineer from china mainland. In china, Taiwanese brand like Elan,Holtek,Winbond are cheaper than European&US&Japanese brand like ST,PIC,RENESAS,NEC. but performance is not as good as the latter. PIC occupies
a great part in china market, especially in industrial area and car electronics.

the cheapest 8051 mcu

I get AT89c2051 for $0.44. What would be cheaper than that?

cheapest microontroller in the world

I suggest better go for atTINY8515 or better series if you want latest avr9
and only cheap, go for AT89S52-24

cheap mcs 51 microcontroller

1. The thread is from 2004
2. Worry about the cost only if you plan on building thousands

mcu 8051 cheap

thats right blueroom. Useless to discuss about this unless we know full requirements & then conclude for cheapest one. I said AT89c2051 but it would be useless if ADCs are required.

cheaper microcontroller 8051

Hello to all,
Senthilkumarr posted this in 2004. Now I thing he will prefer better controller rather than cheaper.

Re: Cheapest Microcontroller

It all depends about how much does your company buys from the same supplyer.

I work in very very very big automotive company, we have lots of business with NEC, Renesas, TI, Freescale, Microchip and others..

Two examples:

PIC16F677, microchip web price .99 usd we pay .47 usd, but we but about 100K pieces year...

R8C/23 digikey Price 3.42 usd, we pay 1.47usd...

again, all depends about how much do you buy. We only got this price because we buy not one device, but many from differents families and areas, from analogic to microcontrollers..

again, all depends about how much you buy!

Re: Cheapest Microcontroller

The cost of microcontroller depends on in how much quantity you buy? First check the requirements from microcontroller you want, i.e, i/o pins, code memory, peripherals. Then go to cost of microcontroller.

NIKS

Cheapest Microcontroller

C8051 core with OTP ROM should be the cheapest.
Appotech in Zhuhai China design such a chip

Re: Cheapest Microcontroller

In our area (kerala)
89C51 Cost - Rs.35.
min. - 1 number.

Cheapest Microcontroller

don't look for price, select the micro controller according to your requirement, very hard to find micro controllers will be bit expensive but if you go for a lot that will be very cheap

Re: Cheapest Microcontroller

Hello!

Before discussing prices, it might be worth to know what the processor has
to do. I use mostly Texas, and there is an online selection tool here.
Find the same engine for other brands, input your specs and you can determine
the cheapest for your application.

Somebody said X is better for production and they give you source code.
I guess it's the same for any maker. All of them provide some sample code.

If you ask 10 engineers for their opinion, you will get 10 different opinions,
mostly based on what they are used to. So basically this question has no
definite answer, it's more or less a matter of taste.

By the way, what is the most beautiful color?

Dora.

Now that would be way too much real life, wouldn't it :D

NIKS

For the same part, you can have different prices if you will buy 1 or 1k pieces a week... This is what I mean, the price changes by the quantity...

Another stuff, the how much popular the part is, i've seen the prices of arm cores getting very cheap and those prices were high few years ago...

Cheapest Microcontroller

I use to by 89c2051 in 30Rs
