HI,

In my design, the top module have some generic, during the simulation i need to change the Generic value. The important thing is that some generic types are user defined one, means i need to pass the corresponding user defined record for changing the generic value.

So anyone know how to use the "-G" command while passing a record using the *.do file in ModelSim

Thanks in Advance

-G only supports single non complex types, like integer, string, std_logic_vector etc. If you want to override a record type using -G, I you will have to write a wrapper file that has simple generics that can be passed to the underlying entity via a record.
