CD-ROM disc spinning motor driver in discrete electronics?

I am looking for a schematic for a CD-ROM disc spinning motor driver, made in discrete electronics.
I found this schematic from th web https://makingcircuits.com/blog/brushless-bldc-motor-controller-circuit/ but I am not sure if this can work.

Most (all ?) CD/DVD drive motors are three-phase BLDC, they don't work with this driver circuit.
