CC configuration and Current amplifier...

Dear All,
Common Collector(CC) transistor configuration has high input impedance and low output impedance.Itz voltage gain is unity and itz current gain is high.In otherwords, it can be used as a current amplifier.
But, an ideal current amplifier should have zero input resistance and infinite output resistance.Then how to understand that CC config. can be used as current amplifier.
Plz clarify this doubt.

A common collector (or emitter follower) is a current amplifier in the sense that the voltage gain is close to unity while the current gain is high. It is not an "ideal" current amplifier. It is more of a voltage buffer.

From where do you know "that CC config. can be used as current amplifier" ?
 

becoz it has high current gain i thought it can be used as current amplifier
