ic design career

hi all,
i am a fresh graduate , masters, from Oregon state University. I am a question as i am going to start my career as analog and mixed signal design engineer.

I was wondering if it is good and advantageous to begin IC design career in a middle order company as opposed to a very big company so as i can get to learn a lot and steep learning curve. Or should i try for some big company.

I feel middle order company will give me a lot of learning as opposed to a big company..
please help me with this. thanks
