Carbondioxide sensor

Hi,

I need a sensor to detect a carbondioxide level ( ca. 2000ppm ). Could any of you suggest me any sensors.

Thanks very much!

Hi roobert,

i think you have tree major types of sensors too choose from.

1. the chemistry sensors, good for enviromental measurements. Thease sensors are not so expensive, but with a reduced lifetime. I think the first choise for air quality measurement.

2. the phyroelectric sensors, with a low price an a very large bandwith. You must use an aditional optical filter for your CO2 bandwith ~ 4,3 µm. And they are temperatur sensitiv.

3. the lead selenid sensors. Verry sensitiv with internal peltier cooler. The best choise for labaratory measurements in the low ppm range. But they are expensive.

Here are some links for you

for the phyrosensors a good company is
ELTEC Intruments INC
Central Business Park PO Box 9810
Daytona Beach Florida 32730 USA

A big distributor for a lot of sensor types is LASER COMPONENTS.
