Hi

I have tried to google in attempt to determine the Capture and compare module's application. As I need to know what are they used for...

I would appreicate if you give any link or example of using this module

It use for measuring time period.
 

Capture is used to capture the time using TMR1 between two edges. This time can then be converted to frequency.

In Compare mode the TMR1 will be free running, as soon as the TMR1 is equal to the value in compare register, a special event can be triggered. The special event can be a change of output or start ADC conversion. It can also be used for waveform generation.
