Capacitive sensing issue

For the capactive touch panel, if I totally discharge myself and my finger won't work on the touch panel? Anyone has an Iphone or so to try out?
 

Most (all?) capacitive sensors are using a higher frequency AC and aren't affected by static charges or low frequency interferences.
