back end tool list

I can access synopsys backend tools, while it seems there are too much for me to learn,so can you suggest the tools used in the following backend flow?

a)logic Synthesis (design compiler)
b)floor plan(?)
c)clock tree synthesis(?)
d) Placement (?)
e) routing (?)
f) DRC&LVS(?)

thanks

back end tools

logic Synthesis (DC - Shell , RC Compiler , Blast RTL)
b)floor plan(SoC Encounter)
c)clock tree synthesis(Astro)

e) routing (Nanoroute)
f) DRC&LVS(Calibre)

best tools for backend

Hello,

a)Logic Synthesis (DC - Shell , RC Compiler , Blast RTL)
b)floor plan(SoC Encounter)
c)placement,timing,clock tree synthesis,optimization(FE)
d) Placement (Soc Encounter, Blastfusion)
e) Detail routing (Nanoroute)
f) DRC&LVS(Calibre,Assura,Hercules)
g)noise(Celtic)

magma ic compiler soc encounter

Hi,
For full Netlist to GDS you can use SoC Encounter. It has single solution from Netlist to GDS flow.
You have to use Caliber for LVS/DRC verification.

backend celtic

Anolog Layout cadence + diva for ( block fast )
cadence + assura
cadence + calibre for block & sing off
Laker + calibre

most tools can link Mentor calibre

how to choose need watch your fundry support good kit and rule file
if you have more time you can to do your self :D

logic synthesis backend

Hi
RTL compiler for logic synthesis
First Encounter for P&R
Assura or Calibre for Physical Verification
Celtic and Vstorm for Signal Integrity and Power Analysis
Timing Closure for PrimeTime

google suggest backend

Hi ,

If you can access all the synopsys tools please see the list below for the tool list :

a)logic Synthesis (Design Compiler)
b)floor plan (JupiterXT, for top-down as well as bottom up approach)
c)clock tree synthesis (Astro and IC Compiler)
d) Placement (Astro, Physical Compiler and IC Compiler)
e) routing (Astro and IC Compiler)
f) DRC&LVS (Hercules)

If you are a fresh starter with the synopsys backend tools I would suggest you to get used to OR start with IC Compiler which is the next generation tool for floorplan, CTS, placement and routing. Also, visit the www.synopsys.com and get yourself regestered into Solvnet --> a Google for chip designers.

Hope this helps.

designing backend tools

a)logic Synthesis (design compiler)
b)floor plan - Jupiter XT
c)clock tree synthesis - Astro
d) Placement - Physical Compiler
e) routing Astro
f) DRC&LVS - Hercules

soc encounter ic compiler

I suggest you a tool that's good for BackEnd. It's Magma. You also do synthesize and STA and so on with this tool.
Good luck

back end tools list

Do you know how to use Magma? Send me a PM

can access be used as a backend

I suggest you to use SOC Encounter (Cadence)
or Blast Fusion (Magma), they are the next generation tools. For Astro and ICC (PC + Astro), I thinks it is still not strong enough.

back end tools + calibre

Encounter is best i guess... u can do FULL flow on it !!

Virtuso layout editor n hercules for LVS n DRC

list of back end tools

synopsys design compiler is the most important.

icc synthesis tool

ENCOUNTER is the best choice i feel. It has the full flow and you have to do DRC/LVS/antenna check using calibre but u can load those reports in encounter and can rectify the violations.

backend tools top up

a)logic Synthesis (design compiler)
b)floor plan(ICC/magma)
c)clock tree synthesis(ICC/azuro/falcon-magma)
d) Placement (ICC/magma)
e) routing (ICC/magma)
f) DRC&LVS(k2 chameleon/hercules)
