I would recommend getting a PICKIT2 by paying a little bit more.
However, if cost is still prohibitive, you should get a PICKIT2 "clone", like the one you showed. Considering that making a reliable PICKIT2 "clone" on your own isn't really too difficult, the iCA01 kit shouldn't be bad, although I can't guarantee anything, since I've never used it.
Its not good to modify thread question, that change meaning of created posts and make them unuseful.
In first original question you say "cheapest as possible".
Because you change thread question from "cheapest is better" to "up to 35$" my answer is:
PICKit 2 Clone is favorite and its best programmer solution for small amount of money. Can be build for up to 10eur.
ehmm... sorry tpetar you are right...By replacing "the cheaper the better" with "possibly not too expensive (max 35$)"
I hoped to filter out advices from guys giving what I consider useless answers like suggestion of buying THEIR
particular unprofessional homemade ultra-cheap programmer, or telling me to build a programmer myself with few $$ and so on.
When writing the first question I lacked a clear picture of what I really wanted, then googled a little around and decided
to redefine question by excluding the request of low-quality programmers. BTW I'm trying to re-edit the first post but seems impossible...
