Can we use timer on interrupt and the main program in AT89S52?

on at89s52, can we use timer on interrupt and the main program itself? what happen if in the main program the timer is still running, and then an interrupt occurs which also need a timer? PS. timer used is T2, T1 is used for baud rate generator.

yes u can use both T1 and T2 at same time.and u can also change interrupt priority register as u want.

timer enabled with interrupt is independent of the code.Any interrupt enabled will be operating will be independent of the code if u want to read more about interrupts try google u will get lot of documents related to interrupt
