It depends ...


I presume that you want to observe the clock using LED and hence it will be of few Hz frequency. So if that is the case then it is possible.

If your clock runs at very slow speed (Few Hz or even few kiloherts) then you can copy clock signal on some pin and observe it, using CRO.

BUT, if clock runs at MHz speed, then you can't do it. It will not work.

MHz range clock canot be noticed obviously on a LED .
can be observed by your scope,
