I install RHEL 3 on my notebook. but the cpu always run on full speed. Can RHEL 3 support ACPI which can support the speed-step of CPU? I know RHEL 4 can support it.
RHEL 3 uses a 2.4 kernel. You might be able to patch the 2.4 kernel to support cpufreq, how Linux controls the Pentium's CPU speed.
