Can I use MOS in the off state to obtain large resistance?

MOS in the off state

Dear all,

Can I use a MOS in the off state to obtain an extremely large resistance ( in the order of 100 G ohms ).

Or is there something incorrect about doing so?

No you can't ,the mos will fail.

why do u need that huge resistance? you need to tell more.

Considering junction leakage current, I would say "it is not practical"

I need it to form a LPF with a very low cutoff. I use this filter to reduce noise

I feel that, from a physical point of view, there is nothing wrong with using the MOS in off state.

The resistor would be places in a path in which the current is already zero ( series with a MOS gate)

You can to use switched capacitor as very high resistor,
which has equivalent resistance R = 1 / ( C * F ), where F - frequency of switching.
 

MOS in the off state

You can try Poly without salex / P+ / N+ as resistor. The order of resistance in 10G Ohm
