Can I have other master on the APB bus than AHB/APB bridge?

Hi All,
is it possible to have a master other than AHB/APB bridge on the APB bus.

incase if yes then i am having mutiple masters ...i should also need an arbiter...

as per the AMBA protocol NO ..

but you can always modify it according to your needs. ya if u have multiple masters an arbiter is reqd and bridge complexity will increase.

if in case of multiple masters, the new master can be on AHB bus itself why it needs to be on APB bus?
