1 ---> 6,8(with R10K pull up) --->12,14 ---> R47ohm ---> SCK
2 ---> 2,4(with R10K pull up) --->16,18 ---> R47ohm ---> SCK
10 ---> R47ohm --->9 ---> 11 ---> MOSI
17 ---> 13,15,17(with R10K pull up) ---> 3,5,7 ---> R47ohm ---> RST
9 connect with LPT pin 11

I tested your circuit ,but it did not work with @tmel ISP software.

When I run the software the first thing that I see is this message box that says:

" DLPORTIO.SYS device driver not loaded .Port I/O will have no effect"

I think the port i/o of isp software does not work ,is there a way to solve my problem?please help me.

dlportio.sys is a device driver that allows programs to access the parallel port under win/nt, xp and 2k. this is a must if u are using a third party sftwr to access parallel port. i searched and found this place from where u may dwnld it:

Did anyone consider about the parallel port being locked under WinXp?

Any way, for the programming of 89S52 youll only need a buffer, like 74hct and some resistors.
As for soft a simple downloader will do the trick.

I tried the programmer and software from **broken link removed** and it works. Sometimes the hardware won't work if the parallel cable being used is too long. My cable is less than half a meter.

You should try this, it is good. I use it all the time . It works in win98 and winxp. It's free. And you dont need any components other than a DB-25 jack and cables!

I'm sorry, i must disagree with you. For the AT89S family, programming is done using ISP. The AEC_ISP programmer is only a cable, there's no circuitry in there, and needs no external power. It is almost the same as the AVR ISP cable. If you need something really quick and cheap, i think this AEC_ISP is a very good option.

ps: the cable connection from LPT to the AT89s can be found in the AEC_ISP software
