Problem number 1:
How the author has achieved expression 7 and 8 by using 6?

Problem number 2:
How the author has achieved expression 13,14 and 15 by using 12?

Thanks in advance

you better grasp what's in the reference cited in that paper, find ref [14]

Re: Can any one help me with these equtions?

About the first question, the derivation of (7) and (8) from (6) is very simple; we have:

R=B*n*log2(1+g/gef) then

R/(B*n)=log2(1+g/gef)

by definition the logarithm is the exponent to which the base must be raised to have the number. That is "logb(N)=a" means "b^a=N" so, in our case the base is 2, the exponent R/(B*n) and the number 1+g/gef:

2^[R/(B*n)]=1+g/gef thus

2^[R/(B*n)]-1=g/gef then

ge=gef*{2^[R/(B*n)]-1}

About the second question, (13), (14) and (15) are not derived by (12) but from what's written in section III-B
