64 bit linux

hello

is 64bit linux available, can I use it in ordinary pc with VMware

64 bit linux

hi
today almost all the variants of GNU/Linux are avialable for 64bit systems.
To install and run a 64-bit guest operating system, you must have a supported CPU in the host computer(i.e. a 64bit processor) and you must be running a VMware product that supports 64-bit guests.

vmware 5.5 already support 64-bit guest OS, seems the host OS not require 64-bit, not sure whether require 64-bit hardware, mine is AMD 64 bit platform
