lock bits

Can the 89c52 series microcontroller have its lock bits set so the chip becomes otp or can the lock bits be erased no matter how they are set so the chip can be reused. thanx

lock bits

89C52 can be erased eventhough the lock bits are set.
Erasing will erase all the data stored in flash and clears the lock bit. The use of lock bit is disable the read feature of the chip.
