Hello Friends

I have done my B.Tech in electronics & Comm in 2003.now i want to switch my field in DSP.As DSP was in my last year course and i know its very tough with high level math calculation.

My math is nornal not very strong.as per my knowledge strong math is needed for DSP course.Plz Plz help me , i m in doubt ...wat if i join DSP and fail ti hendle math. plz let me know wat knid of math needed for DSP course.can i do it.

Plz help me..i m asking u coz i know u all r masters.

awaiting ur reply....plz help ur bro...thanx

math for dsp is not tough. its just normal calculations involved. from the outside view, it seems that lots of math expertise is required. but if we look inside, it appears that there are many math equations, but all very easy to solve. you need to know only preliminary complex math and calculus (not advanced).
most of the dsp math is for transforms and filter designing. believe me, not tough.

i think do practice man its not tough

GO FOR DSP

I dont know which specific field you are going for...
But DSP is very easy as most of the math operations can be performed at ease in C/C++.

Moreover for applications like Advanced Video Coding/Image Compression /Audio Compression the algorithms are implemented on processors using software packages like Code Composer studio (fot TI)

So all we have to do is coding at C/C++ level that may involve some
complex equations but again you wont have to solve them by hand.

Math for DSP can be very difficult!!! It depends on applications, some of them do not require math but some of them do.
If you want to design, for example, system with adaptive filters or aplication in image processing with wavelets theory, you need to know funtional analysis, complex analysis, matrix theory, numerical analysis, fourier and wavelets theory which are based on many math fields, and etc.
So,you do not have to be an expert for math but if you think that is undergraduate math it is wrong.

I don't think Math is so important for DSP. Application is more important than theory research as DSP theory has developed for more fifty years. The math in DSP is relative simple and anyone can learn it, no need a math specialist.

hey i hav a dsp starter kit how i can know bettter an use btter any one know about NI card plz tell me how i can interface thanx
