calibre hcell
Hello,
I got the following problem:
VERSION:Calibre.v9.3_6.5
Description:
NEEDS: HIERARCHICAL DSPF OF AN LAYOUT BASED ONLY ON STANDARD CELLS
For this kind of file it is needed LVS-H with hcell list.
This kind of lvs it is correct and layout netlist it is also
hierarchical(no transistors in top cell only subckt calls). But when I
enable "Generate database for Calibre xRC" some cells are lvs incorrect
and some cells are correct (only 6 from 50 cells) and the extraction
report says: "Cannot enable LVS PUSH DEVICES because pin location
information was requested".
Of course, if I am trying to make PEX(for dspf) directly this is
equivalent to lvs-h with xRC database, and lvs is incorrect.
I tried this :
LVS EXPAND SEED PROMOTIONS YES
What I got: lvs correct with only 6 hcells and the layout netlist it is
not hierarchical.
Possible causes: The standard cells are overlapping for meet area
constraints (for minimum area consumption).But this is normally and what
design with standard cells does not contains seed promotions?
Can anyone help me with this?
