Calculating the heartbeat using matlab.

I was wondering if someone could help me.
I have an ecg signal with the QRS enhanced using the PT method.
I now have to calculate the heart beat.
Can anyone give any advice or pointers to do this on matlab ?

I am start do it like this:
View autocorrelation of your ecg signal.
I think that period of heartbeat will see on this.
