Cadence ubuntu 13.10 cdslmd vendor is down

Hi can anyone help me with these errors which Im encountering I think they are inter related

On running Lmstat
cdslmd: The desired vendor daemon is down. (-97,121)

on running configure
The default license file for ubuntu, license.f04da2633380,
does not exist.

Add <install_dir>/tools/bin to your path.


on running lmgrd
The TCP port number in the license, 5282, is already in use. Possible causes:1) The license server manager (lmgrd) is already running for this license.
2) The OS has not "cleared" this port since lmgrd died.

on running virtuoso
*ERROR* (DB-320001): Unable to get the Cadence(R) Design Framework II license feature of "111".


Im running on ubuntu 13.10
the help would be appreciated

Reboot your machine and open cadence icfb or virtuoso again. BTW what version of your cadence? I have same problem with cadence ic 615 install on
ubuntu 12.10 (32 bit). Since ic615 is compatible with 64bit , i need to set some command in bashrc file in order to run it

i have like tried everything .. might have tried configuring license 20 times...! rebooted
cadence version 6.15 on ubuntu 13.10 64 bit , but i guess i have installed the 32 bit packaged
set all possible exports in bashrc although i dont understand the need for bash file?
I think the major issue is the non clearance of TCP port.
