Cadence SKILL question

I know very little about SKILL, but I'm trying to automate a repetitive task. I have to import some old design modules from Tanner. Once I import the gdsii, I need to add pins to the Virtuoso layout for connectivity driven layout.

So in the layout, I need to find something like "the top-left most metal 3 piece". I know that piece will need a pin labeled "INPUT0". I can accomplish a search and addition like this in Tanner using it's API, but I can't begin to find my way in SKILL.

Any help?

Thanks.
