I am new in cadnece use. I want to simulate an inverter by using pmos4 and nmos4
in library of analogLib. After finishing the circuit and adding vdd gnd vpulse, I run
the simulation, but there is such error :

"M1 is an instance of an undefined model nmos4."

I thought maybe there is sth wrong in setup model libraries, but I indeed choose
right model files. I am confused about this. Anyone can help me this problem?

Thank you.

Hi,

Did you include the library in your netlist? Why don't you show the netlist so that it is easier to find the problem.

is an instance of an undefined model nmos4

hello, you can vi the model file and find the mos model name, making sure that
it is the same as the circuit's.

analoglib undefined nmos

in the analog design environment, use simulation->netlist->create to make sure that you had used the right model library.

undefined model+cadence

the best simulation is hspice.

undefined model + cadance

that is because you forget to give the model name ,you must give the "model" while you give the w and l . the model name must identify with the model file.

ok, finally, i think i got the right answer.

bro, what you really need to do is at the very beginning, you should select the tech library to be something related to your simulation one.
